Credentials

  • Frank graduated with honors from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business Entrepreneurial Studies program and holds a B.A. in Communication Science from USC. He completed specialized ISS-accredited graduate-level programs in corporate governance for directors and officers at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, as well as an executive certificate program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He has held various licenses with FINRA, the California Department of Real Estate, and the State of California since 1987.

At Exemplar

  • Frank became an adviser to Exemplar Companies in 2018 and currently serves as Managing Director of Exemplar Capital. He has worked with high-growth companies across a wide range of industries and brings decades of experience in venture finance and worldwide capital sourcing for private and public companies. He has served on the boards of numerous companies and nonprofit organizations.
  • From 1996 to 2004, Frank served as CEO and CIO of Namaste, Ltd., a private investment fund administered in Geneva, Switzerland, with a focus on venture and pre-IPO finance. He was also president and co-founder of i-Bankers Securities, Inc. (formerly Millennium Financial Group), where he managed IPOs and private placements that raised hundreds of millions of dollars from investors worldwide. The company operated offices in four countries.
  • Frank began his FINRA-licensed career in 1987 as a financial planner with IDS American Express. He later led the investment banking division of Marv Capital, Inc. (formerly Marino Capital Partners, Inc.), a New York-based investment bank focused on facilitating corporate debt trading in the secondary market. He has also owned and operated businesses with as many as 70 employees, more than $40 million in annual turnover, and hundreds of millions of dollars in inventory.

  • Frank has founded, led, and sold two investment banks and has served as chief investment officer for venture-capital and special-situations funds in the United States and Switzerland. He has also served on the boards of numerous companies and nonprofit organizations.

The Real Me

I am multicultural and multilingual and remain active in corporate finance as an adviser and entrepreneur. I practice martial arts and yoga, and I enjoy spearfishing, chasing butterflies, and looking for a little magic in everyday life. I live in Laguna Beach, California, near my four adult children.
