Credentials

  • Frank graduated with honors from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business Entrepreneurial Studies program and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science from the same University. He’s completed specialized ISS-accredited graduate level programs at the UCLA Anderson school in Corporate Governance for Directors and Officers, as well as a certificate program for Executives at the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Business. Since 1987 he has held various Licenses with FINRA, the DRE and the State of CA.

  • Frank Marino became an Advisor to The Exemplar Companies in 2018 and currently serves as Managing Director of Exemplar Capital.
  • He has been involved in various capacities with innumerable high growth companies across a broad range of industries and has decades of experience in venture finance. He has extensive experience in sourcing capital worldwide for both private and public companies, and has sat on the of numerous companies and non-profit organizations.
  • From 1996-2004 Frank was CEO and CIO of Namaste, Ltd., a highly successful private investment fund administered in Geneva, Switzerland, and focused on venture finance and pre-IPO finance. He was President and co-founder of i-Bankers Securities, Inc.(FKA Millennium Financial Group), managing IPOs and private placements in which hundreds of millions of dollars in equity capital was raised from investors worldwide and offices in 4 countries.
  • Frank originally licensed with FINRA in 1987, when he began his career as a Financial Planner for IDS American Express. He headed the investment banking division of Marv Capital, Inc. (FKA Marino Capital Partners, Inc.), a New York-based investment bank focused on facilitating corporate debt trading in the secondary market.
  • He has owned and operated businesses overseeing as many as 70 employees with an excess of $40 million in annual turnover and hundreds of millions of dollars in inventory.   • Frank has owned and operated businesses overseeing as many as 70 employees with an excess of $40 million in annual turnover and hundreds of millions of dollars in inventory. He founded ran and sold two investments banks and has acted as chief investment officer for venture capital and special situations funds in the US and Switzerland. He has sat on the board of numerous companies and non-profit organizations.

The Real Me

Mr. Marino is multi cultural and multi lingual and remains involved in corporate finance as an advisor and Entrepreneur. He practices martial arts, yoga, and loves
to spearfish and chase butterflies and fairy-sprites. He lives in Laguna Beach, CA near his four adult children.
